How to Use Read It Once Again in the Classroom

Module 1, is an introduction that will give you a quick overview of the core concepts in our curriculum and how they can be used with a variety of children at different ages and stages of language development.
Module 2, will help you learn why and how Read It Once Again supports repetition and brain development.
Module 3, will help you select the appropriate curriculum storybook units to best fit the needs of the children in your classroom. It will also guide you through the Super 20 Foundational skills and show you where they are found in each unit with a sample of some common activities that consistently address the foundational skills.
In Module 4, you will be shown examples of how Read It Once Again activities are used in everyday situations in the classroom setting.
In Module 5, this training component shows you why Mother Goose rhymes are a powerful tool for initiating expressive language and how to blend your rhymes with storybook units.
In Module 6, you’ll get strategies for beginning a unit, how to prepare materials and tips to conclude your unit at the end of the month.
In Module 7, we’ll outline many of the activities commonly found in each Level 1 unit that are designed to teach the Super 20 Foundational Skills.
In Module 8, we’ll outline many of the activities commonly found in each Level 2 unit that are designed to teach the Soaring 20 Level 2, Soaring into Kindergarten Foundational Skills.
In Module 9, you will learn how to administer the Read It Once Again Curriculum Based Assessment, assess the results and use the information to guide instruction. Each skill- based question will be discussed along with sample activities from a variety of Read It Once Again units explaining how to teach the skill.
Module 10: Now I See What You Mean – Using Visual Cues to Implement Class Management and Prevent Behavior Issues. This module is based on Read It Once Again’s Preschool Classroom Management Teacher’s Resource Guide
