Oh Deer!
Let’s spread some classroom cheer!

LOOK what teachers and speech-language pathologists are saying about using our Read It Once Again Curriculum!

I love RIOA!  I love the multitude of vocabulary and concepts that are available for speech therapy and that everything is interconnected with the story theme.  I especially love the questions to use during therapy because a visual field is already prepared.
This is the best curriculum because it uses authentic literature classic stories that are highly motivating to students and addresses so many skills repetitiously in order to help students master and maintain skills.

I absolutely love RIOA! I am a speech language pathologist in a school district and use RIOA in therapy and with the preschool teachers in their classrooms. It’s great … and easy! I collaborate with the preschool teachers to determine what units they are going to use each month and the student’s goals in their IEPs. I carryover what they are learning in the classrooms and the OT also carries over the RIOA activities with the students we share. They love it too! This way, we all are working on the same goals in mind and the students can’t wait to hear the monthly storybook reading and daily activities. We send the pre-unit letter home to the parents when we start a new unit each month, and at the end of each unit we send the post-unit letter along with the  completed activities to them as well. The parents are always excited to see what their child has worked on and what the next RIOA monthly unit will be.

I have been using the RIOA units for many years. My favorites are the Brown Bear, Hungry Caterpillar, and If you Give a Mouse a Cookie units. I use the units with English and Spanish speakers, as the units are simple enough to adapt for the kids and parents. I was sad to hear that the company was going to close and am thrilled it is still alive! 🙂 Thank you!

I am using the RIOA units as our foundational curriculum, for our two classes for profoundly handicapped medically fragile students. Our students range in age from 5-10, and the comprehensive units are great for reinforcement of all their IEP goals and objectives. We use the units every day.

I am a preschool teacher and have used Read It Once Again for years. I love the activities, the parent letters, planning guide and how it supports and carry overs the vocabulary, language, and literacy components of our student’s goals. It’s easy to use and the students enjoy the daily activities.
